You Rock!

I can tell it's spring break and my hubby's home from school because I have enough free time to post something new every day this week! I better watch out, I may get used to this and start trying to make something new each day so I can continue posting this much! It's pretty fun.

This card was a blast to make. I'm trying to make up some samples for a customer to choose from on which she'd like to use as a project for me to teach at her upcoming class next month. I originally was not going to purchase this set, I thought - maybe someday - but, the more I looked at it, the more excited I was to try it out! I used the You Rock stamp set, Stardust paper packet, Moonstruck, and White Daisy cardstock, Moonstruck and Topiary inks, Dimensional Elements (a retired alphabet) and the rock and roll technique on stamping the guitar (how appropriate!) along with some White Daisy brads in the upper left corner. It is a 6x6 sized card.

You're A Star Interactive Card

I browse a few of my favorite blogs daily, and I found a link for this awesome interactive card template at my fellow CTMH consultant K. Aaron Brown's blog. She always has gorgeous artwork and I love her style. The video has great, step by step instructions on how to make this card. It was surprisingly easy and I plan to use it for an upcoming class I'm teaching in Rainier in April. This is my first attempt, but I plan to make a few more of these, and I'll be sure to post them on here soon!

For this version, I used Moonstruck and White Daisy cardtocks, papers from the Stardust paper packet, Moonstruck, Topiary and Bamboo inks, the sponge distressing tool, and stamps from the Shining Star stamp set. I also used the Coluzzle circle template.

March Scrap Club Layouts - Finally!

Both layouts use the Stardust paper packet this month with Topiary, Moonstruck, Desert Sand, Bamboo, White Daisy and Crystal Blue colors. On the first layout, I used the Believe In Your Dreams stamp set, and on the second, I used the Wishing Star stamp set. On both layouts, I took a chipboard shape (star in the first, arrow in the second) and backed it with a patterned paper. I then filled it in with liquid glass to make it shine. On the star, I also used prisma glitter for some extra sparkle. On the second layout, I used the Coluzze Tag Template. Accessories I used include: White Daisy bigger brads, Chocolate organdy polka dot ribbon, and White Daisy photo clips.
