If you are a member of one of my clubs (Club Cat, KOTM or Scrap Club) and you'd like to use an online sale order for your August monthly club order, that is definitely fine.  All I ask is that you send me a quick note letting me know that you want that order to count for your monthly club order and I will make a note of it on my club spreadsheet.

Regarding the MYCTMH shopping site's availability at the time of the sale, the following information comes directly from the CTMH corporate office:

"Will there be issues regarding the MyCTMH® shopping site’s availability?
Potentially. Close To My Heart has a state-of-the-art server system and e-commerce platform designed for enterprise-level business. That said, we do have a finite Internet “pipeline” to the corporate office, and when thousands of users simultaneously shop, it can slow connections or even cause dropped connections.

There are some things you can do to improve your shopping experience and ensure a smooth transaction. We have specifically chosen the items available for sale because they are desirable, current and retired items for which we also have strong stock. Not all quantities in stock are equal and there will likely be some that we run out of. But the variety is wide and there is something for everyone’s taste and style. Although this is a “while supplies last” campaign and it’s important for us to position the items as such, our inventory varied and well stocked and ready to support your shoppers."

Here's a list of the products that will be a part of the sale:

Happy Shopping!

August Scrap Club Layouts

For my August Scrap Club layouts, I used the Passages kit.  I love the rich, timeless feel of these papers - they are just gorgeous!  Colors in this kit are Garden Green, Brown Bag, Cocoa, Barn Red and Colonial White.  I used the Happy Journey and State of Mind stamp sets.  Embellishments are from the Antiqued Copper Mini Medley collection and some Antiqued Copper brads.

I'm back, really!

So, I know I've been seriously MIA this past month.  It's been a summer packed full of family time, vacation, playdates, camping, and some relaxation time squeezed in there too!  I'm back with lots of new artwork to post, updates, promotions and new products coming your way in the next month.  CTMH had their national convention in Washington DC earlier this month and loads of fun new stuff was unveiled.  I will be updating you with all of that as the summer progresses on.

For right now, I have a set of six cards to show you.  I used the Celebration card workshop from the Wishes book to make these 6x6 cards quick and easy.  I started with a color combo that I knew I wanted to use - Barn Red, Creme Brulee, Chocolate and Sorbet.  I found it on the top of one of the pages of our Idea Book - this is a great place to look for inspiration "outside the box" or our CTMH paper packets for that matter!  Most times, I create my artwork using the color combos in our paper packets - they are flawless combos, the papers already incorporate all of the colors in their patterns and it's super easy.  But, sometimes none of the paper packets fit my theme or desired "feel" for the project, as was in this case.  I wanted to make a set of cards that I could use for various occasions, for both male and female recipients and I'd had my eye on this color combo for awhile, it was just waiting to be used for the perfect project.

So, I went through my paper stash, chose a few monochromatic background and texture papers from my collection in those colors, added the remaining cardstock colors to make my combo complete and began with my cutting guide.  I used the Everyday Celebration and Felicity stamp sets to make my accents, added some ribbon and brads, and voila!  Here are my quick and easy 6x6 all occasion cards.  Enjoy!

July Scrap Club Layouts

Scrap Club layouts for July are ready to go!  These layouts feature the energetic and colorful papers from the Zippidee kit - perfect for summer photos!  Zippidee colors are Cranberry, Desert Sand, Indian Corn Blue, Colonial White and a touch of Honey.  I used the Thrill Ride stamp set with colored ink pads and clear embossing powder over the top of the images on the first layout to give it that pop and texture.  I also used Cherish The Moment and State Of Mind stamp sets.  For the finishing touches I used clear buttons, Cranberry grosgrain ribbon and waxy flax and some Colonial White bitty brads.  Hope you're having a fun and festive summer so far!
