Another Dance Photo Piece

I did this one for my daughter's ballet photo.  I used a 12x12 piece of patterned paper from the Emporium paper packet.  I also used stamped images from the Felicity and True Friends stamp sets.  Colors are Twilight, Crystal Blue and Sweet Leaf.

Dance Photo Piece

My son is in Hip Hop dance, and when I got this 8x10 photo, I knew I had to enhance it and make it into a home decor piece that I could display to showcase it.  I used a 12x12 piece of paper from the Sarsparilla paper packet, along with stamped images from the True Friends, Felicity and Star Power stamp sets.   I used Desert Sand, Barn Red and Black inks.

New Summer Idea Book Cards Part 2 - Day 4

One more card in this set of cards from the new Summer 2010 CTMH idea book.  This one also uses papers from the Zippidee paper packet.  I was inspired by the argyle pattern of this paper to make a Father's Day card.  I used the Colonial White designer brads, Colonial White regular brads, Cranberry grosgrain ribbon along with Felicity and A Little Everything stamp sets.  Colors are Honey, Cranberry, Colonial White, Desert Sand, Bamboo and Indian Corn Blue. 

New Summer Idea Book Cards Part 2 - Day 3

Here's card #1 using the Zippidee kit.  This kit is vibrant and full of energy, but with the inclusion of some muted neutrals (Desert Sand and Bamboo) it stays level headed enough to be pleasing to the eye.  For this 3x6 card, I used the Zippidee papers, Dimensional Elements stars chipboard, Colonial White brads, Colonial White waxy flax and State of Mind and Thrill Ride stamp sets.  Colors in this kit are Indian Corn Blue, Cranberry, Honey, Colonial White and Desert Sand.  Come back tomorrow for one more card from the new idea book!

New Summer Idea Book Cards Part 2 - Day 2

Here's another card using the Passages kit.  The colors are so rich and yummy in this kit - it really reminded me of something masculine and outdoorsy, so I used this card for a father's birthday card.  This card showcases all of the colors in this kit - Barn Red, Cocoa, Garden Green, Brown Bag and Colonial White.  I honestly felt that I could never use Brown Bag in a project ever and be just fine, but I think it compliments this color combo in a very rich and vibrant way - it's perfect.  I used the May 2010 SOTM, Cherish The Moment again - I love it's tag/frame/checklist format and it works well for the theme I used for this card.  The letters "Dad" are stamped with the Friendship Small Alphabet stamp set and I added a couple of antiqued copper brads and a arrow photo clip.  On my bracket embellishment, I used the new Pizazz resist chipboard for the accent - I love these - you just take a sponge dauber with your ink pad, fill it up with your ink color and sponge it on the chipboard and it has little designs that resist the ink and remain white - how cool is that?  They are on page 95 of the new idea book for only $4.95.  I tied some Cocoa ribbon and Colonial White waxy flax on the bracket, and it's done!  Come back tomorrow for another new card!

New Summer Idea Book Cards Part 2 - Day 1

I've got some more new cards for you using the paper packets from the new Summer 2010 idea book.  Today, my card uses papers from the Passages pack.  I LOVE this pack so much more now that I've worked with it.  It was one of those when I saw it in the catalog, I thought - hmmm, that's nice and all, but I've seen the likes of it before (updated Vintage Travel pack) is what I was thinking.  Well, now that I've used it and made some projects with it, I love all of the papers, both front and back sides!!  This is a 6x6 card and the colors on the photo really don't do it justice.  I used the back side of the plaid B and T paper, along with the map paper.  I used Cocoa ribbon (love this one!), Bamboo bigger brads and the stamps are from the May 2010 SOTM Cherish The Moment and the bird stamp is from Childhood Portrait.  The colors are Colonial White, Cocoa, Garden Green and Bamboo.  Come back tomorrow for another new card!
